The 2nd Cambodian Voice of Persons with Disabilities to Start Next Month

PHNOM PENH: The Royal Government is planning to organize the second Cambodian Voice of Persons with Disabilities program to encourage Cambodian persons with disabilities throughout the country to express their abilities and artistic talents.

According to a letter released by the Office of the Council of Ministers, signed by Hing Thoraksy, the Permanent Secretary of State of the Office of the Council of Ministers, the program "Voice of Persons with Disabilities" will return for its second edition, with the permission of Prime Minister Hun Sen. This will be the second "Cambodian Voice of Persons with Disabilities program with Prime Minister’s Award” to be given.

The Royal Government has set the venue for the opening program in Phnom Penh, the semi-finals in Sihanoukville and the finals in Siem Reap, starting from March 2022, and the program is scheduled to end before the 7th National Assembly election campaign.

The first Cambodian Voice of Persons with Disabilities Program was held in 2018 with the support of Prime Minister Hun Sen and First Lady Bun Rany Hun Sen, who provided approximately 506 million riel, or approximately $130,000 dollars, for the program, which is designed to encourage and show care for persons with disabilities without discrimination.
